Data Storage Policy
CaptureAssist stores Customer Data in accordance with industry best practices and security standards:
- Storage Location: All recordings and data are stored securely in AWS S3 data centers located in the United States
- Encryption:
- Data encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL
- Sensitive credentials encrypted at rest using AES-256
- Access Controls: Restricted to authorized personnel with role-based access controls and audit logging
- Backup and Redundancy: Automatic backups with redundancy to prevent data loss
- Infrastructure Security: Regular security audits and compliance certifications
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only under these circumstances:

6. Data Retention
Data Retention Policy
CaptureAssist will retain Customer Data as follows:
- Active Accounts: All data retained as long as your account is active and in good standing
- Deleted Recordings: Marked for deletion and permanently removed within 30 days
- Account Deletion: All associated data removed within 30 days
- Billing Records: Retained for 7 years as required by law
- Usage Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized statistics may be retained indefinitely
Data Archival and Removal Policy
- User-Initiated Deletion: Data removed from active systems immediately and fully purged from backups within 30 days
- Automated Cleanup: Deleted recordings purged from all systems within 30 days
- Account Inactivity: Accounts archived after 12 months of inactivity and permanently deleted after an additional 90 days
- Data Export: You may export your data before account deletion
- Backup Retention: Backups containing deleted data retained for up to 30 days
- Legal Holds: Data may be retained beyond standard periods if required by law
Once deleted and past the 30-day retention window, recordings cannot be recovered.
7. Third-Party Services
Our service integrates with third-party platforms (Slack, Zendesk, Freshdesk, etc.). Your use of these integrations is subject to their respective privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is not intended for users under age 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
